normal epoxy is only good up to 120f, it will also water-stain after a few months.
there are high temp epoxies such as MAX HP, but ceramic engine clearcoat from a auto parts store would do better than that even, most epoxies are not sun-resistant either.
I don't know what temps a clear ceramic glaze has to dry at, might be worth looking into.
maybe an acrylic resin would be better than epoxy, but I have never used it.
