...for selling a 15 year old kid a kawi h1 triple for his first bike?

lucky fucking kid.

and as long as the kid doesnt fuck it up and destroy the bike, he should be in gods good graces.

If the bike is road worthy? Is the "KID" someone you all know who will put it to good use? Will he be likely to sell it for drugs? In England these bikes are gold dust in bad condition. My uncle told me these were the bikes to have when he was younger. Frame twisting on full throtlle, not being able to stop when you need it to.

I dont know how good of a cafe bike it would make. it would depend on your level of creativity. at the shop I used to work at we had a yam rd 400 cafe bike with a h1 motor in it. fucking sick. we called it the yamasaki, lol

Quick, put a life insurance policy on that kid.

Unless he's got a good head and his ass screwed on tight he's no going to last long with that bike. Actually, who am I kidding, he probably won't be good enough with the carbs to get that bike running right anyway.

He sold at the mid ohio ama vintage days for 1500 dollars. about 4 or 5 years ago. we now refer to that kid as the dead kid. lol. his dad bought it for him. we just kinda shook our heads and said hey its your kids life! the old man seemed pretty knowledgeable. I know I would have killed myself on that bike when I was 15. I did have an h2 that I parted out.

oh and how do I like the bikes? well they handle for shit but rev to the fucking sky and you can lose the ass end on demand.

careful where you point that thing!

if you're not an idiot you can ride anything. his fate is in his own young hands with his fathers guidance. hope for the best.

i got a 929 for my first.

true, adam. this is probably one of those cases of natural selection. survival of the fittest an whatnot. the dumb kid who cranks the throttle and dumps the clutch doest get to grow up and and have his own stupid children. lol. he had just better be ready for the first time it gets on the pipe!

I was broke at the time. and was just really getting into the better handling bikes. kaw triples handle like bathtubs on wheels. there was an h1 and an h2 on craigslist here recently. the h1 is in decent shape but the h2 has a locked up motor.

I got 3k for my bike in parts and I really didnt have anything nice. the tank was all smashed in and filled with a really bad bondo job, then painted with house paint to look like a rebel flag and STILL brought me a few hundred bucks.
