build off time again , why the hell not , we can't very well complain that the forum is quiet if we don't contribute. This is a roll over from last winter , all the big fab is mostly done , but there is still plenty to do

today's endeavour, buttoning up my engine

not much of an update today, took the sprocket carrier to the parts washer then put the sprocket on it , then ordered up the foam filters for the throttle bodies. Think i need to remake the reducing sleeves for the back wheel, the set up ones only cover the bearing in the sprocket carrier
course I need to avoid the lock down cops and get my wheels back first

ordered some things , copper washers, rubber washers, jubilee clips

so rear muddie is now rubber mounted , worked quite well to be fair

left the rest of the bits in boxes as the lack of back wheel makes things a bit unstable

i did pull the lock stops off for a bit of machining , they clout the lower headlight

only spring i fitted was the rear one from the head,

back wheel is out....again..... couple of bits needing adjusted , I was going to get the mini grinder out and split the clips that held the fuel reg on the pump.... but the angle grinder was closer, job done there . Working through the lists, doing things that can't be seen but need done , other stuff sat on top of toolbox ready for machining

oh.. checked pics, I found a mini filter, that as luck would have it, the OD of its rubber mount matched the ID of the rubber tube on the engines breather

did some stuff ,

skimmed the spindle blocks to the right length , little machining on the lock stops , cut ramps onto the filler cap (save carrying a set of stilsons ) , made up a couple of 24mm hex keys ...... again... need to stop giving them away (but I won't) and turned up the spacer for the clutch slave cylinder (which I reckon is 2mm too long)

more bit loaded up in pockets for tomorrow

had to make a couple of M20x1 nuts to tighten up the oil filter post , then put the new grips on and got the bark busters buttoned up . I've still to drill the peg holes for the switchgear, but I want the throttle bodies on and snapping shut first .
If possible i'll get the back wheel bits done tomorrow

not much to report, tapped in the new rear wheel sleeve and got the rear wheel refitted with the axle sliders ....

then spent the rest of the night trying to get the brake to work without the pedal hitting the exhaust, and not being so high as to be difficult to use . Clevis end needs an altering
