Christmas is over, back on it , sump has been treated to a few litre of putoline , so it seemed like a good time to send 12v into the starter motor...... it cranked over fine, no clunks, bangs or anything else untoward
then with the vacuum bleeder I borrowed from my mates shop bleed up the brakes and clutch, they're shut for the festive season, turns the entire affair into a half hour job
gear linkage is all connected with new left hand rose joint and nut (rather than the right hand one i bought the first time)
i then cut through the angle grinder cable with the angle grinder while making adjustments to the top tank cover......... not my finest moment of the day
filled the rad with coolant, then took the ugly ally water pipe off and welded the leaky pin holes , if I had any dignity I would use this pipe as a template and weld a nice one (which was the original plan) ... but apparently l don't .... but then its not going to be dragged about shows to win ten bob trophy's , it's a tool for a job, that job being behaving like a twat
fuel lines on next , they'll need some clips n stuff as the shock and exhaust occupy the same kind of area and I'd like to avoid any external combustion
last task for the day was drilling and tapping the front spindle sliders , lock them on with stainless M5 grub screws
