I'm just curious how bad my jetting would be off if I installed a set of pod filters, would I be running too lean? I'm on a Stage 1 right now, would I need to up to jetting to a stage 3? Or do you guys think I'd be ok? Just curious as to how much work I'd be looking at here.

Thanks guys!

ya I've done the exhaust too, so I'd definately run lean. This might end up being a winter project after all if I have to tear into the carbs once again. I'm also not running the back half of my airbox right now, just the front half and a filter if that makes any difference.

As far as I know there is no need for pod filters without tune up your engine.
Even with a racing exhaust and a ported head there is no need for, you can just go
with a racing filter for the stock airbox.
If you plan to go for a much higher gain with camshafts, flatcarbs, plain the head and fully ported
and all that stuff than it makes sense to put pots on it, if you can stand the noise :D
I run a 94' 1100W and have all these jobs done including FCR39 and even with this setup it wasn't easy
to find the right jets to run pots.
It's not just plug and play, I guess you run the 38 or 40mm Mikunis, if so you really should go for stage 3.
otherwise you may have a power loss, but maybe a little bit more torque.
And go for it on a dyno that you really know for sure the before and after.

Good luck

edit: just checked, with the 38mm Mikunis I had a 58 pilot, needle 4mp and a 170 main in it, with a yoshimura RS3
and K&N Filters
