first i cut a piece of sheet metal up and bent and grinded and welded the hell out of it.
once i made it fit nicely, i pop riveted it in place. the i used flexible body filler to fill all the seams and such. lots of sanding to shape it a bit and voila...
nothing is plastic welded.. as a matter of fact the back part of the tail is metal and the front is plastic..
nope plastic didnt crack at all i just used a Black and Decker Handisaw that i got for xmas from the inlaws. i new itd come in handy sometime. Also i used a Diegrinder with a round grinder bit to clean it up.Yeah it didnt turn out too bad. and like i said if i dont like it at any time ill just pick up another fender. it was a cheap little mod that gives it some character.
yeah it rocks.. made her maiden voyage on thursday with some of the boys... and about the exhaust.. it sounds good as it is... and im kinda scared to chop it.. maybe one day ill get the guts up.. but right now she is staying as is.. rides nice... cheers. heres a couple pictures from thursday.. if you look close you can spot the only streetfighter in the bunch kinda in the middle of everything..
Thanks... I'd recommend keeping your R6 as is and picking up a smashed up one. Its really a Bitch when you cant ride cause... well... your bike is fucked..
