OK CF world i'm a uber-NOOOOB so bare with me I am street fighting my 2006 gsxr 750... I would like to start off doing it as cheaply as possible just to make it steet legal for the rest of riding season. so now that i've stripped all of the fairings off I need to get a headlight on it, some mirrors, a windscreen, and som new levers on it for under a few hundred dollars and it still pass with MD and DOT approval. in the future I want to replace the gauge cluster, shorten the rear and put new tail lights on it stretch it a little and pretty much trick it the F out any help will be much appreciated also I see these bikes with these sick tank graphics is it cheaper/easier to get it painted or do custom vinyl.
If you want a cheap headlight to start, find a 7" headlight, make some brackets. Buy some bar end mirrors and go. Don't worry about the windscreen until you are dead set on the headlight.
Also, if you look at a headlight, make sure it's DOT approved.
In my opinion, if you're not selling your GSXR headlight, make a bracket for that and run it. Then you don't have to worry about changing wiring.
Do a search on headlight brackets. There are some pretty sweet ways guys/gals have rigged up the headlights. I'm always amazed at what everyone does here.
thinking about buying this bike its only $200 bucks no title but clean vin and paper trail thru bill of sales.
