Here's my entry...

1992 Yamaha XJ 600s Seca II.

Stock except for a Yosh pipe the previous owner installed.

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. Probably hang out here, look on in awe at some of your projects, ask some noobie questions, and hopefully make this bike look a little cooler & ride a little better.

Okay... I'm gonna try to order/get some stuff for this thing.
Gonna try & source some XB9 headlights. Thought I had some on ebay, but I got snaked. Them Buell headlights aren't as plentiful as I thought they'd be. Probably just have to get 'em from the dealer.

Found a line on some stainless steel brake lines for the front, although I think my perfect plan would involve swapping the front end from a FZR600 to run dual discs. Not sure I wanna get that involved, though.

I'm stilll searching around for a cool LED rear light conversion to do. I kinda want the thing to still look "stock". I

OH... I'm also gonna pick up some header wrap of course, and treat the pipes to some bandaging.

Saturday, I cut off the turn signal brackets and re-welded them up higher, so now they're more level with the headlights. I also wired in a strobe to the brake light... seen an unusual number of riders in therapy that have been REAR ended by cars. I'm going for a little more noticeability with them cagers.

I'm waiting on a set of short-stalk signals to be shipped, and then the lighting *should* be done.

The headlight brace on this bike is a bit thinner steel than I thought. Using the lowest heat on my MIG welder I blew a big hole right through the tube when I welded the brackets on. OOPS!

HA!

Talk about a coincidence. We just bought a Seca 2 as my girl's first bike. I start google-ing for info and ideas and I see the link to trusty ol' CF.com.

I click on your blog... lo and behold, my girl's Seca is your old bike!!

It's a small world.
