Welcome guys, I have a question for you.

I am running a pair of TKC80s on my SV650 and have a pair of knobs on the rear tire that have a cross tire split in two of the knobs. They do not appear to be deep and the tire isn't deformed while holding 40 PSI. I have heard of knobs chunking off, but I have never run knobbies before.

Should I be concerned about this or is this normal for knobs?

Pictures on the way.

Knobs will chunk off, more so if road on pavement a lot. If it is just the knob and not the carcass I wouldn't worry about it to much.

I don't have too much dirt experience, but I recently went up an 8 mile dirt/mud/mush/snow/ice road and had absolute confidence in them.

I know of a youtube video where they put the TKC80s on a Pangilie(?) and went off roading. Supposedly up tp 120 on fire roads.
