I’ll start with the strip down and just keep adding bits when I have time! The bike didn’t look too bad to begin with but the was a lot off little issues so I just decided to do a full rebuild! I stripped all the paint off the frame ready for paint and just checked every thing over!

The paint I used has a really nice textured finish to it makes it a bit different! I polished the raised section on the swing arm!

Suppose I better give another up date the! Once I had it back as a roller I started mocking up the plastics. I cahanged the rear mud guard to the more straight version I didn’t like the droopy one that was on there originally. Had the get the alignment for the carbon front mud guard Straight as it was all over the place!

Had a bit off an issue with the engine the sump plug threads were striped out so it was just spinning. The previous owner had just covered the whole under side off the engine in silicone to stop it leaking. This is where there is a bit off a gap in the build I had to split the cases the drill out the threads and helicoil it but I didn’t get any pictures. I ended up rebuilding the whole engine so I know I’ve got a good base! Gave the carbs a good clean and new jets too!

Got the engine rebuilt and back in the frame and started getting every thing else in place! Had to rewire the whole bike! The previous owner had cut most off the air box away to fit a massive k & n air filter I brought a new air box and just cut enough away to get the filter in and still have plenty off air flow but still protecting it from all the dirt! Replaced all the rad hoses and loads off other bits.

dirt and race bikes have a cool purposeful look about them, like apex predators
This thing is defiantly a purposeful apex predator lol! It’s a beast and Handel’s like nothing else!

Got the bike all together in its first incarnation pretty happy with how it turned out! There’s lots off other little bit I did to the bike that didn’t make it to this thread but that’s because this is just a recap! I rebuilt all the brake callipers, clutch with heavy duty springs, movers the exhaust so it sat up higher and lots off fixing bits from previous owners. There’s more to come and still more I would like to do that will come in time!
