So, I have an itch...that I want scratched...it isn't in a traditional street fighter sense but basically, I want to mount a KTM 1290 Superduke (SD) swingarm to my KTM 1290 Adventure. I'm not worried about the mounting it to the engine but the SD Swingarm is about 2" shorter than that on my ADV. I'm concerned about both the handling and the looks by going with one that much shorter.

So...does anyone know a reputable shop that can lengthen a single sided swingarm?

I’ve never seen it done, not that it means it can’t be done. I have seen extended SSSA’s but the were fabbed not modified from a stock swingarm. Look at Gregg’s Customs as that place comes to mind.

Later, Doug

Moto46 in the UK extends Ducati 748-998 swingarms by cutting up 2 to make 1 longer one. I believe they are using the original jigs from the early 916 race team before the longer magnesium one was thoroughly developed. I doubt they would do a one off, but worth asking.

Just looking at the picture ( if I found the right arm) looks like there's a pretty small area suiable to cut. Don't think you'd get much of a slug in there. Basically end up with just a butt weld.
cut there wont work. there's a curve for wheel come around
