im new to this forum guys so hopefully you can give me some direction

im in the market for my first project bike looking at buying a gsxr 750 or 1100 89 to 95 my question is i know some of the older 750's and 1100's are oil cooled this i do not want as i plan to go turbo and i think a water cooled motor would probly be my best bet

anyone know if the water cooled motor is compatable in the oil cooled year frames

and if anyone is familar with this sort of motor cycle what is different from the oil cooled motor and the water cooled

simple as a head swap ? add the water pump? not to familar with this sort of thing as no one in my area is hardcore with the street fighter style bike i however love them

hope i can get a good welcome here and some helpful info

thanks guys

Don't know if a water cooled moter will go into a oil burner frame.
But why would you want too?
I see lots of oil burners turbo'd
Look in the Informative Links.....

thanks for the reply im looking for some sort of reliability

turbos create alot of heat they are also oil cooled

so i guess thats my reasoning some guys are telling me the oil burners are really strong motors but i plan to make some good power with this setup would like a motor to last a little while

The oil cooled motors make solid turbo bikes.

Switching oil-cooled to a water frame or vice versa will require a ton of modification.
