I've always applied a little grease to the caliper pin that hangs the pads, but even a little grease collects dirt. My pads were hanging up in the caliper (for a few reasons) but I'm thinking as the miles build up between brake jobs, the calipers might move easier on a dry pin.

I always use anti seize on the pins, never had a problem and I do close to 100 brake jobs a year on various cars/bikes.
