I am going to be getting some sheet metal today to fab up a ghetto undertail for the Gix project..01 600..and I forgot to take the measurements last night. If anyone has access to their subframe and can take a couple measurements, I would appreciate it. I just wanna know roughly how much sheet metal I will need to go from the battery box area/rear pass peg mounts, all the way up to the end of the subframe. I need approximate length and width to basically close in the between the subframe rails. Rough measurement leaning on the wider side will work, since I will have to trim and mold anyway.

Ronayers says all these bikes use the same sub frame...FWIW:

Thanks, again, much appreciated.

dougz, give me a min. Ill take some.

and here they are:

Hope thats enough for you. I got aluminum sheetmetal to do mine. If you dont have abunch of equipment metal cutting shears work best for cutting. on the length shot, your gonna need more than shown to go with the bends. I cant measure very good with one hand and trying to take a picture. And dont forget to wipe your paws, or the safety glasses.

I uses wood and clamps to bend sheetmetal... I guess all I really need is metal cutters and an electric wheel.
