What can I do? Lots, obviously. Need some ideas, anyone?
Here's some things I wanna change out/upgrade:
Shock
Engine (or beef it up a bit/strenthen what's already there?)
Headlight (got that one pretty much covered)
Taillight and tailpeice (wouldn't mind a cbr 900rr peice)
Front forks (swap for or upgrade?)
Tires/brakes?
Any more ideas? what can I do here...pointers anyone?

Here's your best upgrade...:LolLolLolLol:

Failing that, Suzuki stickers are always good for 5hp (explains why there are so many fucken stickers on GSXR's!)

But seriously, what do you want to do with the bike? as that will determine where you make modifications.

welll lets start with the basics. you got any skills? like welding, machining, fabrication etc... obviously if you have or are getting a vfr you don't have allot of money to start off with. like myself, I have an 87 fz-700. if you know how to weld to a good degree then start with a tail chop. make sure to remove all plastic. replace the light with a different one (probably double rounds). brace the swingarm. either paint or polish the swingarm and frame.

lots of ideas, just flip through streetfighter mag or do a google image search for vfr streetfighter

ill accept you apology im sure ment this bike
Fair enough, it's still an improvement over the Honda and only the best are worthy of a gixxer.

"wall of plastic"...:LolLolLolLol: That's funny as shit!
Yeah, all the plastic is coming off as soon as I pick her up (which is in 12 days (arrrrgh!!!seems so long!!!), of which I'll probably post on here as well as ebay for sale...The plastics in excellent condition, and whoever painted it did an awesome job for the topcoat (for people that like that sorta thing...it has an excellent shine in the sun)
I haven't seen but maybe one fz6 put up in a post as a sf project, but thats ok...i can be the 2nd...and believe me, once she's done, it'll be balls to the wall!!
Now I just have to finger out what front end i can fit..I'd like something like this:

and perhaps an ass-end that looks something like this:

Yeah, for the VFR upgrades try cams and bottom end......Exactly the parts that were about to, or already started to fail........Just like I told you before. I have no brand loyalty, and was just trying to help and steer you in the right direction my Son.... BUT, in a fortunate act of God, things have turned out perfect for you!! (trust me the tank of gas you wasted will be cheaper). Is the new bike a 600 or 750?, doesn't really matter either one would be faster than the old anchor interceptor. I can't wait to see all the details of the build. These older sport bikes make the coolest fighters, not too much frame to clutter up the look.
Hey that may be an idea, how about a complete build, "start to finnish" section in our great forum???Think about it Moderators..

Oh, believe you me, I plan on it...

G-style: It's not a VFR, its a 86' FZ600...I'd like to consider putting the 750 genesis engine in their, if I can hunt one down...so far, all I've been able to find on ebay is the cases...

929: you think I'll be able to get a steering stem to match up for USD's?

these things can always be done...its just a matter of patience usually.

i was talkin with a guy swapping gsxr forks onto an sv...he had to mix and match parts between the two bikes. stem from one. tripple from the other...bearings from both.

im sure it can be done. just gonna have to take some measurements and think ahead.
