OK, I got a set of 06 GSXR 600 tripples, and a set of 03 GSXR 750 USD forks. For the life of me, I can not get the lower tripple to go down over the fork tube, where it widens out. I even tried lubing it up with some oil and it still did not wanna go over.

I measured the tubes and the lower triple OD and ID.

Fork: 54 OD
Clamp: 52 ID( I thought they were supposed to be 54 for that year???)

I am trying to it stretched out by sticking a screw driver in the slot, and widening it, but no go...for what ever reason??

I know I did not have nearly this much trouble with the 03 set I ahve on my SV1K now.

Any tricks, hints or advice would be greatly appreciated.

2006 Suzuki GSX-R600 - First Ride

In the front a Showa 41mm fork is used, compared to the previous 43mm set up. To maintain rigidity with the loss of diameter the wall diameter is thicker and friction has been cut for more precise wheel movement. It still maintains 120 mm of wheel travel and is adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping. This new fork holds a lighter front wheel this year. Appearing externally to be identical, the three spokes are actually thinner for an overall saving off 100 grams of unsprung weight. The tire remains the same at 120/70-17 and comes wrapped with a sticky Bridgestone BT014 tire, while the rear remains a 180/55-17.

Fork Seals 13-023 41mm x 54mm x 11mm fork seals $5.00 4

so it would seem the 41 mm is the inner cylinders's outside diameter and 54 is the outer but at the bottom. at the bottom is tapers up though so is the long long shaft smaller than the 54 you were told. and who told you that ?

i think I read it somewhere, where any of the Zuki's that were 50 mm on top, were 54 on the bottoms,,,,I can't remember exactly where.

Thanks for the link to the Ebay auction...I am watching it and hopefully will get it. Thanks again.

Found my answer from a buddy in Cali. Looks like I'll need to get different tripples. Anyone in need of tripples from an 06 600 Gix, let me know. :D

yes,06/07 are different size.
you will need 01-05 triples.both from same generation since there are offset
differences between generations.
