Hallo all, You may know me so far as the 16 year old with too many plans for a 125 but here it goes.

Firstly the bike I want to buy and CF (the KTM RC 125) comes with ABS as standard on all years it has been sold (I think). ABS for me personally is unnecessary as I've been riding a 50cc super moto without it and have already had my fair share of slides and slips and so I learnt the 70:30 ratios fairly quickly. So my first question is how difficult would removing the ABS system be? I know there the box under the tail and the wiring all over to sort out but would there be any changes to the the actual bikes computer I'd need to make?
Also quick side question would the drop in weight from removing it affect the performance of the bike at all? On top of removing the fairing and so on I feel like I would gain at least a slight boost in acceleration.

Secondly, I plan on learning to wheelie, stoppie and all of that jazz on this machine and as well as removing the fairing would like to instal one of the engine cages you see on all the proper stunt bikes. Where could I buy one of these? Doesn't matter if it's not specifically for my bike as I've already got myself booked on a welding course and plan to modify the thing to fit anyways.
As usual all your help (and patience) is hugely appreciated, cheers.

Would like to rephrase the stunt cage question. Just had a look online and have found a couple sites for stunt cages, however none of them specialise in KTM ones only the other major brands. Which of these would come closest to the frame of my bike and therefore would be the easiest to modify to fit my bike?

Best option=cheapest u can find

In this case

Because any cages u get that aren't for ur bike will need to be redesigned anyway

Starting from scratch might even be easier/cheaper

If you are wonting to take off the fairings my be look at the 125 duke as the motor ect will be the same.
I've looked a lot at the duke but i really dont like the tail design, im looking to go for a more 'flicked up' look such as on the RC. Although im having second thoughts after seeing what OEM and aftermarket parts are available for the duke that aren't for the RC.

As far as removing ABS, it highly depends on how integral it is in the engine controller.

IF it isn't tied into the engine controller, it's as simple as removing the ABS module and putting a new set of brake hoses on.

IF it is, there will probably more detriments to the system than anticipated.
