are those bembro calipers in the front? I love the bike, very minimal changes would need to be made to suit me, the mauin ones are the headlight and the price.
Ya know what I don't like about it? The fact that I'm looking at a picture of it, and it's not sitting in my driveway...

I LOVE the exhaust, the way it curves under the bike is just sweet looking

I'm in love with the corsaros, especially the red one. I seen one in person and for some reason, it looks alil off in person. I still want one regardless.
Ahhhh 'rico I sort of knew that you would be into these beauties. Now look at this: The Aprilia Shiver..Yes! that's it's name...90Deg 750cc V twin with 90bhp at the wheel and I really do believe this baby is going to be a storm!
:party-smiley:

Now wait a minute. Look whats happening here. It seems that motorcycle corporate marketing is feeling the wind of change and designing and building machines that are reflecting that in the consumer market place. That is, anything they mass produce is going to be shorn of it's plastic wrapping and returned to the basic functional piece of machinery it was always was in the first place.

So they look and see a groundswell of public opinion (that is fighterers like us lot)..and begin to recognize that the days of the hypersport models are now past their sell by date.

E.G. The Aprilia Shiver is a beautiful bike but christ, it looks like I would want my SV650 to look like that if I hads the time and money.

You get my drift?

I hear ya BB, except, the manufacturers are pullin these bikes for over 10 grand. I can't afford to be a professional boxer, all I can afford to be is a dirty broke streetfighter.

Yeah those corsaros are the ish tho. When I first started my build, I was thinking of getting the bike painted red and the forks anodized gold. I'm glad I kept it that way it is now, but those corsaros, damn.

Hey you dude! I put my beloved bike on the Ebay today(as much as I love her) I'm gonna release my cash and get me a wedge to move on up 1 level. I fkn adore the new stuff coming out of italy..Even the Guzzi Griso is looking good except for the garbage bin sized muffler that shits it up. And haelo sounds like he's snarfin in his beer glass, but I tell ya...I'm deadly serious. I'm looking for something I havent found yet....I will know when it happens...what I have right now talks to me ok, but we aint quite as one...I think I may have to blag a few dealerships for test rides on this new stuff...My license is clean, my insurance is good....Why not? :D

Ha ha ha I love this place. haelo and enrico seem to have the measure of me so keep on keepin on guys!

Anyways, the interesting thing about these forums is how they suddenly highlight other streetfighter problems that sorta splinter off from the main topic.

Now here is one such situation. As I said, my bike is now listed on Ebay. Problem being my reserve and even the starting price are at about the same cost as buying a brand new stocker. I mean, how else can I recoupe all the investment in upgrades without pitching it this high. I sure don't want to revert it from it's current condition to move it on.

Y'see when you customise your fighter you begin to price it out of the market, also alot of prospective purchasers would rather "do it their way" and move on somewhere else. Noobs are reluctant to appreciate all the benefits of the upgrades over a standard factory model so they dont wanna pay...(in their heads)..an inflated price.
And the wise guys sneer and put you down 'cause it's "prolly been thrashed".

I honestly don't think it will sell because of this. I think this bike will be around me for a Loooong time, and truly think I can live with that because I have tailored it's look, feel and performance to suit me and all the time this is an on-going process that I can't see coming to an end.

So mebbe I'll just pipe dream about all the latest exotica out there and carry on with my next round of upgrades to suspension and brakes and price this Lil babe of mine even further out of their reach.

Fuck! :knucks:

I was always told a bike sells quicker and you get a better price in it's stock condition, thing is, who really keeps every single stock part from the bike? I sold off most of mine. I always said, the bike is gonna be a keeper and my next project will also be a keeper. Shi+ is, I even see track bikes sell locally for $2500 and they have ohlins shocks, the forks were redone, all top of the end stuff, woodcraft rearsets, AND a title.

The parts alone are close to that price. Unfortunately, we live in a world where things are only worth what ppl are willing to pay for them.
