I have an 89 883 that is destine for a Hammer performance 1250 kit, some mild porting and cams this winter. It's going to be set up as a street tracker. Should be interesting.

Awesome! Mine is a 1200 with cams, mikuni hsr42 with the open mikuni filter, custom 2-1 exhaust, dynatech ignition and I'm looking for a set of heads from either the 04-06 sporty, buell xb or buell thunderstorm. I'm looking to make some serious power while staying a 1200

the 1250 kit is VERY VERY expensive for what it is

you can do the 1200 kit for miles cheaper and with the mikuni carb, mild cam 2 into 1 exhaust ignition and (the new sporty heads flow better then the buell heads) you are looking in the 90s in HP

and 90HP we all know with these bikes its not the HP but its the HP with the torque they are WILD
That's pretty cool. But I'd definitely take you in a race. Badly... :p

When drag racing. Every shift brings the front wheel off the ground at least 2-5 inches. In first and second I can 12 o'clock it

But I try to take it easy on her now. After a year of just stunt riding and drag racing I busted a transmission, 2 clutches, 4 belt pulleys, 1 trans pulley, 3 wheels and 2 belts. Now i have a buell transmission, SE drag racing clutch high torque chain with steel sprockets and right now a dyna mag wheel

I still have fun but i want to still be riding this bike in 30-40 years

I can build a sporty with pretty much that and get 90-100hp and if you know where to look you can gey it cheap. I bought my cams new for 100 $ they were just sitting for 10 years in the original box. My mikuni I got used but in great shape all I did was trade him my stock cams haha. My exhaust I made myself and used stock pieces and stuff I had around the shop

Damn dude. U love that bike. I can respect that.

I love my bike too but I never get too attached to just one bike. I like to keep my options open.

yeah i can be honest i will never sell this bike i will make sure my son gets it when he is old enough to ride it. i have put more miles on it since i bought it in 2008 than the first and second owner put on it from 1996 to 2008 (18,000 when i bought it, now 42,000+) hence why i brought it with me from America to Germany (and my TL too but i might sell it if i find something better like a new MT (FZ)-09 or a Ducati) its the passion that drives me

my girlfriend even knows to never put me on the spot to choose her or the bike . . . shes smart.
Wow. That's amazing.

Why do u love it so much?

I'm not sure i think it is just how i have put so much into it and i am just a very senimental person. kinda like that whole "your first Love" thing this was my first Harley. and my first motorcycle i would love to have too lol 1970 Honda CL175. I think it is also just that i love to ride and being a Veteran suffering with PTSD this is the one way i can vent my stress without wanting to shoot and kill people. wehn i sit on her and let that clutch go i am in a whole different world and i feel stress free. which is not easy for me. and i just love the feeling it gives me. I'm just weird i guess lol.

also Haters can bring it!! I dont know many guys with a bike like this that can stomp ass on an 80's-90's FZR1000 (Just did it today after work :0) ):shocker:
The Hammer 1250 kit is a bolt on for $700.00. The 1212 is $495.00 but you have to bore your cylinders to the max. If I'm going to do it I'll do it right the first time. I'm looking at 100 plus HP for between $1,500-$2,000. See what it cost to add 60+ HP to an inline 4. I plan on putting $3,500-$4,000 into the bike before I'm done. It will be a labor of love.
Ahh fook. . I just found out my stator is toast. It hasn't been charging right so I tested it today
Sure enough stator has a ground short I'm only getting 12.8-12.9 volts at idle 13 at around 4-5000
