thanks for the compliments fellas

to hear that it looks good from folks that are 'into' fighters means a lot

i get ragged on quite a bit from my friends and wife for doing this to my bike...as there isnt really anyone i know in my area that is into fighters.

but to know that it looks good to you guys makes it all worth it

hope to learn a lot here. see you on the boards

That just means your the coolest guy around where you live! :metal: Fighters rule, Custom Fighters rules, and your bike rules, so you can just wheelie on past and give them the salute:

I think it looks real cool. Personally i would extend the rear swing arm but thats just me. I love the brillant red and the flat bronze color of the engine. and the cooler placement is badass to see out there and not hidden.

I would be in bliss if people give me flak over a fighter. It means i am not a conformist to bike lore.

Regarding the brake resevoir; I saw an advert one time a few months ago for a neat idea.

It involved instead of the big ugly round resevoir, a long tube that was abotu 3/4 inch in diamater. It held the same amount of fluid as the stock resevoir.

ran along side the brake line, and thats about al I can remember of it.

I am not sure of all the details but it looked like a slick alternative to a huge bubble sitting on the front right bar.

Anyone else know of this? It seems it would really sleek out a fighter.

I thought of making one that went inside the handle bars. I hate those honkin things. I consider them a eye sore as well.

^ good idea.

miller and i were talkin about this recently when we saw an aftermarket set...we commented how ugly the resevoir is on most bikes.

i've seen a small tube right off of the master cylinder that looked to be about 1" tall and .25" i.d. full of brake fluid. seemed like it woudnt be enough, but i dont know for sure. i've seen this applied on front and rear brakes.

thanks again

yeah, i will be chopping the exhaust back once i finish my chopped seat. im planning on having the canisters start about midway behind the solo seat (if its possible or makes sense) and having the exhaust exit sort of like the exhaust on the BKing, but better looking.

aye, id love to somehow rid myself of the brake (and clutch...hydraulic clutch) cylinders some day. but that is further down on the agenda from other things id like to accomplish.

i love the input and ideas fellas.

its nice to have people comment on the bike and give me the opinion of a 'fighter'...instead of saying something like 'man, you need to put some fairings on that thing', like i get to hear most of the time

this place is the shit
you guys pwn

The Hawk is awesome man, a very under rated bike...what Adam said is a good idea for the reservoir, I have used it on a lot of rear brakes, never on a front yet (never had to)...that said...check these out
