down below you can see some "before and after" pics of my little gs.
its not a fighter actually, just a custom bike but it fit me perfect the way it looks right now.

Nice work. Looks like a solidly done project.

Congrats on the nice GS500. There are a few trick ones around this site, including one with a SSSA.

Good idea on the headlight. The tail suites the lines of the bike to a tee. The headlight? Not so much.

Other than that, bloody good work.

(...)The headlight? Not so much.
from beginning i was thinking about turning my gs into something like sv650n or give it some a monster dark look (pics below), you know what i mean, i like that "classic naked bike" look (headlight) with kinda sporty/aggressive tail.

...but...

right now, after tail conversion headlight/handlebars looks huge imo, so i was thinking about something like this p.shoped gs i found

dunno...

Hi first of all, i have joined this forum partially because of your bike, VERY nice! I too have a GS500e (89 Eurospec) and would really like to do something similar in the back. I am on a pretty tight budget since im a student, and haven't been able to find an R6 tail. This begs the questions: would a CBR tail work as well? would it be more difficult to mount? I found a used one for 30$ with a few scratches, which doesn't matter because ill repaint it to match the color of the bike.

Second question: where did you get that belly pan?
Again, bike looks absolutely kick ass! Thank you for your time

Hello
I am glad You like my work.
As You can see my gs is also low budget project because of fact that it was my first one actually.
The truth is that You can fit almost any tail You want but it obviously cost You a lot of work and subframe modifications.
I cant tell You it is hard or not because there are many different ways to make everything fit together, but i know for sure, if You dont have welder and a loooooot of patience dont even bother yourself :)

I bought my r6's tail and belly pan from a company making this kind of stuff with fiber glass, the bad news is that they ship theirs products in PL only.
Try to find a company making motorcycle windshields around Your area, other way is to look for it on ebay. They are a lot cheaper than original plastics but even if you get one it usually needs a lot of work too.

If You want to know more about my subframe etc just PM me for more pics. I'll try to help You.

In a short time my gs will be 100% done so I post some more pics.
Regards

could do with a jack up kit at rear thats just me
I was thinking about it a lot, but you need to know that I dont plan to change rear tire so if I rise tail too much its gonna look poor with stock 130 tire
besides
my bike never ment to be street fighter, I was making my gs to be a "monster dark clone" (with some exceptions) so i tried to make my tail look similar, You know, a little bit flat but not too much

Hello again!
Today I finally moved my ass, grabbed a camera and made couple of new shots of my GS.
Theres no big changes, new can, crash pads, stickers etc.

That looks sick! I want to do that to my gs500e, mine is a 1996, where and what did you use for those aftermarket parts... like the seat tail light grips end caps and anything else I would want to know. That is the shit man I would love to make mine like that and I want to know how!!
