Hello, I’m back after a long time away from the forum. I’ve decided my Daytona need the custom treatment. Some off you may remember me and my last build that never got finished!

Welcome in mate, looks like a lot of old names are making a comeback these days. Daytona always a good choice for a bike ;)

Thanks mate! Still a lot off names about I recognise! Hopefully be a pretty straight forward build I’m already collecting parts and trying to use triumph parts so they will pretty much bolt straight on!

I found this seat cover I’m going to use to recover my seat with it’s got a really nice texture to it! I covered my ktm seat with and I really like it!

Went and offered up the headlight to the yokes to see how they would fit! I think it’s going to work well a bit off trimming For the ignition and figure out some brackets! I’m going to wait till the yokes are on the bike before I start cutting it up though!

YES, the duke headlights (in various forms) seem like a great selection as they're built for naked bikes so they're nice and close to the handybars!

Excited to see the Triumpant one Davey. Have you stripped her down yet?

Thanks guys!
I wanted the head light to be as close as possible to the forks but don’t like the motocross head lights I think they look cheap! I saw the duke light and thought it would be perfect it even has a place for the Speedo to mount without sticking out a mile! Not striped it yet just collecting parts and working stuff out at the moment the bike is still mot’ed till September so will start the strip down then I will get the yokes mounted before just so I can figure out what cables I’ll need!

Got the recovered seat back on the bike really happy with how it turned out! I have got another part delivered too the relay bracket that bolts to the top off the air box so I can move all the relays and stuff from the side off the bike to under the tank!

Yeah the yokes are a direct fit the relay bracket is bolt on too. The Daytona air box even has the threaded inserts already there to bot the bracket on! I’ve got the ktm duke headlight and some street triple radiator cowls. I might need the use the street throttle cables clutch cable and brake hose but I will find that out when I fit the yokes and bars!

Looks great, I do like the headlight sitting close, for me, that's one thing that always looks a bit 'odd' about some of the stock naked triumphs, the headlight sits out a mile, whereas on a diavel 1260 or bmw r1200r (wc) it sits in nice and close.

No progress on the bike as such but I made my own ABBA stand so I can swap the yokes out!
