It's a classic Kawasaki H series race setup.... I need to build a subframe, so I could pitch the rear end to whatever height I please.

Wondering what kind of ideas others might have for this setup?

This is going on my Gixxer powered KZ retard mobile, so any opinions, both good and bad, are more than welcome.

Thanks!

looks kinda cool, but uncomfortable as hell

are you gonna go a monoshock conversion? or keep the duals?

i think the seat/tail section looks great. real cool.

the tank, not so much. i think id go with an old school coffin shape tank that many kawis had over that.

Here's a list of the other mods....

-GSXR 750 Engine

- KZ 650 frame

- Complete Yamaha R1 rear end, shock to axle

- GSXR 600 front end

- Custom exhaust (undertail)

- Pilot Power front and Pilot Road rear

- 3.5 and 5.5 x 17 40 spokers

There's more to it than that, but that's the basics.

Thanks for the opinions so far guys...

It's definitely not a build for comfort.... it's a very purpose built bike... performance. :)

Here's what my inspiration is as far as color schemes go...

... I like the idea of copper/goldleafing things though. ;)

Dude, go for it. I dig the old Kaw race tails. They were one of the nicer looking ones. Sort of ahead of their time. They have that almost modern, but distinkly classic look to them.

As for the adjustable subframe. I made one for mine. I used an old panhard bar from a car that had Hime joints threaded in the ends. Cut it in half and used that for the lower rails. Gave me an inch of adjustment in the height.

oh my god you have to post pics of this bike as you get it worked up.

I like the tank and tail for sure, the tank is different than what most cafe bikes I've seen have.
