So my neighbor has a mini 4wheeler he got for his son, it ran great then was put away and wouldnt start. Well he kept trying to start it and he said eventually he saw smoke come from somewhere. He asked me if I could look at it so I am. I noticed the starter isnt even turnign so I took the advice of someone and checked it out (hooked it straight to a power source) and I get nothing at all. Did I do it wrong? Im thinking the starter is just shot. When you push the start button you can hear the solenoid click but the starter isnt turning.

+1 = tried to start it untill he saw smoke ? I think your on the right track !


Those small quads and dirt bikes are real testy when you leave gas in them to go bad.

Solenoid activating and the starter not turning is foremost the starter. After that'd be a locked fucken motor.

Sounds like it might have a clogged carb
