so im replacing my brake lights and the ones on now have a black and red wire, but the new ones i bought have yellow green and brown. any thoughts?

thats what i was thinking, didnt know if it would fuck up the bulbs or what though

yeah i kept the old light on on the other side to make sure, it all works still over there, so its me fucking up the wiring

Based on what you are saying it sounds like you'll have to run a new wire from keyed hot to the running light wire and the original brake light hot to the new brake light hot.

Just my guess on the very limited info you have provided.

and now none of the back lights work, thats why i didnt wanna randomly try combos. and its not the fuse
