could you explain the swing arm swap steps, im really wanting the busa swinger on my bandit, but a lot of money to just guess about it.i
The swap is mostly quite simple, but getting the shock in the right place is not fun.
First You have to narrow the Busa arm (5mm/side if I remember correctly, easy to measure) . Then You need to make some bushings inside the bearings in the Busa arm to make it smaller for the bandit swing arm bolt. Thats about it.

Then the suspension.. I used the link from Busa. You need to narrow it also and and use the bearing from the Bandit link.
Cut the welded threads from the centerstand attachement point.
I used new bearings in the swingarm where the bones bolt on. I got the bearing from a local hardware store, suzuki bearing was $$$$$ (actually €€€€€€:D ) and turned a small pipe inside the bearings.

The last AND the worst part: You need to make a new upper shock mount to get the shock in correct position. I didn´t want to weld my frame so i made an aluminum mount which bolted on the original mount.

Thats about it.. But if I wanted to do it again, I´d use new Yamaha R1 swingarm, it looks great!!

Hope this helps!

not that im in over my head but damn i got myself a pain in the ass now. swing arm came in. all looks good but i got no one to make me new axle blocks so looks like im need a junk bandit swinger and cut the ends off and weld them on. the swinger was listed as a 750 but it was a 1000 which is a 1/2 inch wider:mad: . i was just going to make new slider blocks with a machined recess but i have no machiners around here. and any ideas for a half inch or so longer axle ? i have no idea how to find one we have no bike junk yards to take a ruler to.

or i could turn a small bushing and slide it in between my stock axle and the gsxr 1000 axle blocks but i still have the issue of needing a 1/2 inch longer axle or gringing down the gsxr 1000 axle blocks with a die grinder.

mine was a tractor seat from rumble customs. was bad ass but if you look at it everyday it gets ugly so off it came. jk1's is a handmade aluminum replica of a zx7 i think. that boys got talent flyin out his ass like monkeys. he made is headlight, subframe, front fender, and tail by hand.
