Hey, Hey!! New to the forum but not new to bikes for sure. I have a fleet thanks to my wifes support. RIght now I have an06 Hayabusa thats been downed, rebuilt, downed and rebuilt again. And I rebuilt the transmission as well. Everything I know about bikes I owe to this bike.
I have an 07 R1 that i bought for my bro but he dipped out on payments so I kept the bike. Needless to say this is my least favorite bike. I always think to sell it, however, I do like to take it out on bike nites and really rip up the freeeways with it...so I guess it stays for now.
I picked up a 97CBR600F3 last year. Why a 20 year old 600cc?? Sentimental value, I sold the same one,, same color, way back when me and my ex-wife were married...sold it to pay for closing costs on our house :( Thenj I picked up a 1993Vmax..The guy it sit outside for a decade but it ran like a champ when I picked it up. Drove it an hour back to my house and proceeded to clean all the rust, repaint, the fenders, new tires. But i gotta say as much as it was ugly to look at, the carburation is dead on!!!!!

So on to my projects...I bought a 1994 Cbr600f2 off a guy for $350. It was basically chassis and wheels. the motor was being held together with JB weld and had no plastics. I figured if I was going to put it back together why not have a little fun....so i put a 900rr motor in it!!!! got it cheap off ebay for $700shipped and after a little cutting, a little welding and some creative engineering, I fired it up and when I get the plastics in fromm our good friends in Hong Kong..I think it will be a cool little sleeper!!!!

So now I here. I bought a 94 cbr900 off a guy for $500...and wouldnt you know it..after I cleaned the carbs and put a battery in it fired right up and sounded great!!! Damn Honda's!!! I was basically a chassis and a motor so I wanted to go the street fighter route. I already ordered a single sided swingarm after doing a ton of research and patiently waiting for Ebay to show me something good. I also have a Hayabusa front end that I think would work great on this.

So thats my deal. I have tons of questions and look forward to sharing ideas on this forum.:rock::rock::rock:

I'm trying to post pics now of that build. Im a little computer illiterate except for eBay and Porn

That 600/900rr swap was a long time dream of mine..not looking to win any races..just wanted people to say.."thats a fukn F2??!?!?!" It wasnt too, too hard. most of it fit right in. I had to cut the bottom most mount and rebuild/weld a new one..a couple of spacers and spent time lining up the sprockets. I choppped a micron header/midpipe and fitted it with a shorty and an improvised baffle...still sounds mean. I went with a stage 3 jet kit and pod filters and by some sort of blind luck the carbs i ordered off eBay had aftermarket needles in them. But like I said I wanted a sleeper so from outside it all looks stock.

This is the CBR600f2/900 build. Its not in any order..I'm still waiting on plastics. Among the engineering challenges was to run the coolant hose on the right sid so it would fit under the body work. Some steel pipe and a rotary tool to port it out did the job. adn The factory fan wouldnt fit so I found a 4 inch fan for a Dirtbike off ebay. For some reason it wont kick on when it gets hot so I may just wire a switch. I also wired a fuel pump as I used the F2's wire harness and it didnt have a provision for a pump. So i splce into the tail light relay and the pumps goes on when I turn the key and turns off when I turn turn the key off.

I painted the frame Blacj just because..and you really cant see much of the frame with the plastics on. The wheels came polished and if I get really ambitious this winter ill get them to look like mirrors!!!!

I went with pod filters and a stage 3 jet kit. It was jsut going to be too much trouble to fabricate an airbox. Before I jetted it it would backfire something fierce..Now that i rejetted it..runs great. I may still have to fiddle with it i the spring but after a few test rides I figure I'm 85-90% there with it. and it idles dead smooth and doesnt hang up when I crack the whip
