KAWASAKI zr-7

First, I love the sight, and have many additional ideas added to my want to do list. Here is what I am working with.

my current plans are a new bar, chop off some metal here and there, and hack the muffler.

future plans, fork swap, swing arm swap, swap the tail. All things that take a lot of money and research.

It has an fender eliminator and a muzzy pipe. I have recently ditched the single head light for dual driving lights, corbin seat, cut off some miscelaneous metal, and lowered the front forks around an inch.
I plan on cutting down the muzzy pipe, any other suggestions?
Looking really quickly Id suggest going with bar end mirrors for looks. Flat black is always a nice touch.

Here are some pics from today. The little triangles are turn signals, they are zip tied next to the lights and are on the license plate in the back. I can do a lot of things, except WELD, and fiberglassing is a little iffy.

HERE ARE THE PICS OF THE EXHAUST AND I PUT A CHEAP BAR ON IT TOO SEE IF I LIKED THEM ENOUGH TO SAVE UP FOR RISERS. I AM GOING TO MAKE SOME BAR END MIRRORS IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. WOULD HAVE GOT BETTER PICS, BUT MY BATTERIES DIED ON MY CAMERA. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

cut the front fender some, and took some better pix. Don't mind the messy garage, I work better out of chaos.

I'll try to get one more picture during daylight and out in the drive way tomorrow

looks a lot better with the bars and new lights :drinks:
Any body have any ideas for a swingarm or front end swap?
Yeah man I'm just about done with my fighter but I removed my swingarm, Passenger foot pegs, and heelguards and got them powder coated a krinkle black to kinda match the black anodized frame. It would porbably look good with your black motor. Let me know if your interested and I'll let you know where to bring it in NH for a real good deal!
Thanks, I'll get back to you after I figure out and modify the swing arm.

last update is : I just ordered a 44 tooth rear, was 38, and a new chain.
I am also getting some parts for the gs550e I gave my dad so he can get it back on the road.
I'll try to get some pics of the old beast soon.
if you wanna swap the front and rear ends. . .

i would look into the newer sportbikes of your make.

the new zx6s got some bad ass swingarms and front forks. look into that.
I have officially plunged into impossable insanity. I got an 05 r6 swingarm and full shock set up off of egay for 80 shipped.

Well I guess it's a waiting game, for shipping, I'll prolly take my time on this one and call in the old man (usaf airplane mechanic for 20yrs)
I'll geterdone, with or without a sledgehammer. :skrooz: :skrooz:
Great way to get experience with 'making things fit'. Swingarm swaps are fun :D
one day until arrival of new swing arm.:party-smiley: I'll take some before pics later today and post as I go.
Maybe a Z1000 front end? USD forks, already has handlebar mounts on the the top clamp - and being Kawa, will probably slot straight in....
