Hello all,

Have not been on in for some time...

I re-routed parts of my wiring harness and moved around my control cables today...

When I went to take a test run the bike would accelerate up to about 6000rpms fine.... But when I went to give it gas the bike would rev higher but it wouldn't go any faster?

Any thoughts?

Thanks

I was thinking... it could be an oddly twisted throttle cable...

Hopefully I didnt screw up the wiring or something

Thanks Guys... I will check both..

I can tighten the clutch cable by screwing a bolt out where it connects to the clutch lever..

I pry screwed it out to far...

makes sense

CLutch needs adjusting
or could be the way the cable routed

If the revs go up and the bike doesn't speed up, the clutch is slipping.

If you're lucky you just have the adjustment wrong and don't need a new clutch

Ideally you want a slight amount of free play in the lever, like 1/2" or so before you feel it start to actuate the clutch. If there's no play and you keep a bit of tension on the throwout all the time it'll wear out prematurely.
