I have an 04 XZ6R that is now naked, severed the ignition wires and blew the main fuse, replaced and re-spliced. Now it will crank but won't fire. Fuel pump is good, all relays, fuses and ECU are ok. The ECU is sending out the signals but there is no spark. Pulled a coil stack and grounded it out. I find it damn near impossible to fry all 4 stacks at once.

Any ideas? I've done everything I can think of, went through all 500 odd pages in the service manual as well. Swapped the ECU because the book said too. Still no go.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but the obvious thing to focus on is that it likely happened when you severed everything. I agree that frying all 4 coils is unlikely, so what do they have in common? (Ground?), I'd start looking at how/where they ground and double check it with a testlight or meter.. While you have your meter out, start check continuity on everything you severed, something will pop up.
