Hey guys, I’m new to the forum and have found it very informative and interesting.

I am considering doing a restomod to an old 84’ GPZ550. The entire motor will need to be rebuilt and i would like to upgrade the swing arm/forks/wheels and brakes, along with other odds and ends. From the research I’ve done so far it looks like the sway bar pivot is 230mm, so thats about as much as i know.

I look forward to reading more threads and learning from those that have already done a similar kind of restomod.

New here myself, so from one noob to another, welcome in.

I once put a Zephyr 750 into a z650 frame, did it some years ago now but if I recall it went in without much hassle.
Is it the twin shock you have or am I thinking of the z550?

Scat, I have 84' GPZ 550. It's a mono shock in the rear. Here's what they look like in stock form. Mine has been repainted. I'll take pics here in a day or so.
