Oil pressure tester

Can a compression tester (for cylinders) be used as a oil pressure tester?
Or are they a completely different type of tester?

Different type internally. One’s designed for air pressure and the other for fluid pressure. Put oil in the air compression tester and it will never be the same. Pony up the little extra $ and buy a correct oil pressure gauge.
