New thread on refining my Beast Thing XS850 Triple Cafe.

While the XS Cafe Beast is sharper cosmetically than when my project began last yr. the bike could use
some updates / improvements to it's safety, performance & handling. :knucks:

Installing sticky Bridgestone Battlax BT45 V-rated 240kph tires.
Huge improvement over the hard old Kendas it wore.
Super deal for only $201 pair / shipped.

Various cosmetic bits to give bike that warm cafe-racer look.

32 yr old switchgear was trashed ... time for new from MikesXS

Drilled train-like peg brackets will have to suffice until the vicar lets loose with more DW $.
That means fabbing me own brackets w/ new shop tools.

Got bit off-center on one hole - once chamfered, it's hard to see. :CK187:

Finally a calm day. Geez I actually did some work! :shocker:

Installed shiny new clutch perch / lever.
Fabbed an inner fender from the "fake" aluminum diamond plate (.035")
stuff works great as a bulkhead.
Polished the stock alum. rear brake carrier / bracket & re-installed.

Pics will follow.

Caliper paint didn't look right. Polished rear brake helps sets cafe theme.
