so i was gonna do this a long time ago but today since i f***Ing busted my ass end of my bike whilst sanding i figure sure why not :rock:

start of you need the following:

-gloves
-mask
-tape*not duct tape well you can but your an idiot if you do*
-heatgun
-drywall tape
-plastic cleaner
-plastic bondo
-primer
-paint
-cleaner
-epoxy*fusor 141 with fusor gun*
-plastic adhesion compound*fusor 602*
-paper towel

use the tape to hold the pieces together its just an extra hand thats all so its dont move while you work with it

then apply the fusor 602 addhesion spray its just like a glue that hold the drywall mesh/tape in place

now apply the epoxy compound use what ever kind you want but i have the type autobody shops have and is a 2 stage epozy and the plastic will break before the epozy if applied corectly

hit the epozy with heat *mine requires heat to harden* but make sure not to hit it too long :LolLolLolLol: or it will melt the plastic.

next step use bondo i got plastic bondo since it flex's 30% more then regular bondo and is the same price as regular bondo

spead it over the outside surface and make sure it gets in all the cracks

now i never accually finished since its taking forever to dry but all you do from here is sand it smooth and if you wish to apply more bondo do so if not you prime the piece here you use the blow gun and blow off most of the dust but dont point it too close then get the plastic cleaner or just cleaner and wipe the whole piece down and dry it using the paper tower then apply your primer i just use regular Agriculture primer

then once its dry either sand it smooth or whatever you want since its a fighter i didn't care since im sure ill scuff the shit out of this bike and i just went from prime to paint in 20 minutes :nuts:

voila clear then let dry and your done :rock:

ive seen someone use zipties and a soldering iron and they put some busted up headlight brackets back on. edit, the zipties acted as solder. Im pretty sure there is a expensive plastic welder you could always buy as well

Soldering plastic to fill seams does work!

i weld plastic all the time. zipties will work. butyou can get a better plastic that comes in slices for the process.

tool isnt all that expensive and more than worth it, esp if you stunt.

i've fixed and sold over $500 worth of plastics that woulda been junk otherwise.

Damn, that' tight. I could have done that with my ex500 fairing...but then I suppose I wouldn't have a 'fighter.

And anyways, I didn't want to go searching through the underbrush for little pieces of plastic.

I have only used it once, and pretty much suck with it. Guess I need practice. I actually have a set of EX500 plastic I have to rebuild. I have to make up some pieces and then weld them and the larger cracks up. I then plan to fiber glass the bigger holes, and use spot putty the fill the smallers ones.

I have actually used a soldering gun to fix small cracks in the past. Works better if you use an extra piece of bodywork to lay over it, then you can melt it all the way around.

Looked like your job came out great! I need a paint booth like that, with racks and stuff!! Hell, I wish I could just keep the bugs out of my paint jobs!!

This is the plastic welder I use: Ebay Link. It's a pretty decent kit as a whole and even comes with a How-to dvd. Similar to welding metal, if you take your time and practice on scrap plastic similar to what you need to repair (ABS), you can make some excellent repairs. ppl who gets those expensive kits are retarded get a soldering iron not the trigger gun the pencil style and get some abs core rods or as i use plastic milk jugs......some shit different pile

The plasti welders i've used are fairly decent. have gotten good results. the plastic repair kits for 30 or 50 bucks blow chunks.
