I have an MT 09, it's just like the FZ but has its proper name.
I've put about 26000ks between 2 of them- first one got written off by a a car.

And yep, in the North America it's FZ/FJ, and the rest of the world, including here in Aus, it's the MT and tracer.
My MT has proper springs and new valves, a Penske, O2 controller, and cosmetic crap. Last one had all that and a flash, haven't got round to the flash yet on this one.
They are a Fucking great bike.
oh, forgot that the first one had an akra carbon, and the new one has a scorpion system. Not bad for a company bike.
So probably going to be Wednesday when I can take delivery of the bike, already ordered my helmet. I'm getting the icon variant in ghost carbon because "halo" helmet. I can't wait to get back on a bike again.
It's a lot of bike for the money.
Front end can be sorted with just springs and a shim stack and thicker oil. Or full cartridge set ups.
Rear shock can be full monty Penske/ohlins, or zx10/6 or busa/gsxr, streetfighter style.
I've seen a couple with the OEM titanium can from a Yamaha R6 , makes it a cheap slip on, well cheap cut off and slip on.
And if you can, an ECU re flash- the yammie flash is written by lawyers, aftermarket makes it go better than you'd think.
