All you guys who have no tail on your bike, the ones who ride in the rain (and whatelse)

If you have a hugger, does it work?

If you don't have a hugger, does your back get all wet when you're riding on wet roads or over puddles?

Yes, but they do help considerably with water/mud fling. I ran my GSXR without tail plastics for a while (back in my "attempt to not suck at stunting" days), so I wouldn't wreck them. I had no undertray, nothin...just the complete subframe and seat, and I would get soaked. A friend lent me his hugger for a couple weeks and while it didn't protect me 100%, it helped considerably. It was very noticeable while riding.

Why do people always cover their license plates in photos? Are people so afraid that someone is going to see a pic, read the plate, hack into the dmv mainframe, get your address, and come to your house and steal it?

there was a Bike theft ring in NY that would find out where guys kept their bikes and go steal them. They would follow guys home from bike nights, etc, AND, use pics they found online to track bikes through the plate numbers....people did have their bikes stolen this way. One less risk I personally wanna take.

I see your point and completley agree with "one less risk philosophy". But if people REALLY want to steal your bike....they'll find a way regardless. Sorry to get off topic........

before the buildoff my bike ended at the back of my seat....i didn't really notice any difference in the water flinging area.......all bikes are different in design though so where my bike stopped may be different than where your bike ends....you can see the pics of my bike in the garage area......

a hugger will def. help with this...but not totally stop the '*******' syptoms of having no tail.

even a stock tail section wont stop the rain thats why they have the big stupid rear fender we all eliminate.

so basically...you should get a waterproof jacket!

I sewed Kevlar and carbon fiber to the inside of my hoodie (and then fabric over it so it don't cut me up).

Thing has gotten soaked in almost-freezing rain in the middle of January in Michigan and baked me alive in 108F Florida 'cold summers'.

Leather is just so heavy and awkward.

wearing leather is just like wearing any protective gear. takes a bit to get used to it, but once you do, you wont ride without it.

i look at it like this: i spent roughly $1000 in tattoos (so far) if i can protect them from being scraped off my body, im going to do that!
