I have a 2002 bandit 600, and Im installing a GSXR front in the next few days.... realized I NEED to upgrade the rear, it looks wimpy.

Quick questions i need answered

All I need is a 1200 swingarm from the same year? Is the hardware interchangeable?
Can I use parts from my 600 rear? Rotors, sprocket ,brakes?

All I really need is a 1200 rim? and swingarm? bolts right up or what?

Any 1200 bandit swingarm from the first model up to yours will fit straight in, brake caliper, brake disc cush drive are the same but you may need the caliper hanger from the 1200 (i cant remember lol)

Depending on model etc you may need to mess with wheel spacers (easy) or once you have checked just get the 1200 ones

you can also fit a lot of the gsxr arms with a 5.5 rim bit it usually means a little more work

Hope it helps

gsxr arms requires minimal work and dogbones/cushion levers as the mounts are on top of bandit arms and below gsxr for dogbones. it just requires some thinking and tinkering.

'88-92 Gsxr750 and '89-92 Gsxr1100 arms are very similar to the Bandit and have the linkage mount up top. All the 1100's and the '90+ 750's have 5.5" rims.

Later, Doug
