Most likely your cam chain. Did it just start, or has it been there a while? It could be your valves, but most likely your cam chain. Is it really really bad? More details man! Remember, noise is a byproduct of an internal combustion engine....don't be scared of noise, be scared of "new" noise!

haha My friend Roberto's 02 R6 had the same damn problem.. Sounds like the head is full of marbles just rollin around in the head.

Id say it was from bad valve clearance or a slapping timing chain.. most likely valve clearance though

Cheers mate,yeah it is pretty bad ,bikes been garaged up for about 4 month started it about a week after it came off road thats when it started

Tell me this.. Does it rattle at idle and just a hair above idle? Then after that when you rev it up it goes away, till it comes back down to the idle range again?

doesnt rattle when engines cold but as soon as starts to get warm rattle starts.rattles at any engine speed though as well as idle.cheers
