Hey i was lookin at bikes and one site had a quick sentence that said "no more in 2007" does anyone know if it is being discontinued or something? or was this in reference to something else?

There has been rumors about that for a few years now, but Honda is VERY good at keeping secrets until the last minute. Many signs do point to the possibility of '06 being the last year, BUT.... they had to update a bunch of stuff for new emissions laws in '06, strange if they just planned to discontinue it... BUT... the problem is, the 1000RR kicks its ass all over the place on the track, so sales have dropped significantly...

It really could go either way, but history shows that Honda generally goes where the demand is, and there hasn't been that much demand for RC51's lately...

Thats basically all it said was that "no more in 2007." It didnt even specifically say anything. I was lookin on ebay for rc51 and that was in the title line.

I know it is prolly just rumors but the bike I was looking at was from a dealership so maybe they know something we dont?

well i cant entirely agree with you there...but you are correct that those are two great things!

but obviously you havent ridden the 1000RR that is rumored to be replacing the RC because it beats it on the track!

thats gonna be their 800cc gp bike right?

from what i hear, they take out a cylinder from the 211v and there you go..an almost 800cc motor already set up with endless sweet racing technology!
