I think that is fucking awesome! I don't think I would trust riding on them (not that they aren't safe, I'm just paranoid delusional lol), but it looks cool as hell.

Yeah, I wouldn't put one on a sportbike. With hard cornering you're asking for that thing to lock up.

It's actually designed to spin freely of the wheel so that if something goes wrong on the "gears" it will not inhibit riding in any way shape or form. I've been reading a lot about them lately and there's a nice write up on them in the new Robb Report Motorcycling mag. Pick that issue up, there's a couple sick fighters in it!

Seems like a lot of extra unsprung weight, which is obviously a bad thing. But I don't see how it'll make your bike handle like shit. Just worse.

I'm more interested in getting tweels for my bike.

With the components and stuff they use, these wheels (which are designed for cruisers), weigh less than the stock rims on almost all the Harleys and Jap bikes. They could probably be adapted to sportbikes without drastically altering performance. I say drastically alter, because they will alter it a bit, and they aren't meant for racebikes, but adding those to a stock bike won't make a busa handle like a sportster.

Not the same wheels, but all I'd have had to do is machine some new spacers and it'd have dropped a lot of weight.
