It's actually designed to spin freely of the wheel so that if something goes wrong on the "gears" it will not inhibit riding in any way shape or form. I've been reading a lot about them lately and there's a nice write up on them in the new Robb Report Motorcycling mag. Pick that issue up, there's a couple sick fighters in it!

Again...they thought of that ;)

With the components and stuff they use, these wheels (which are designed for cruisers), weigh less than the stock rims on almost all the Harleys and Jap bikes. They could probably be adapted to sportbikes without drastically altering performance. I say drastically alter, because they will alter it a bit, and they aren't meant for racebikes, but adding those to a stock bike won't make a busa handle like a sportster.

they're the same wheels!?!?




anywho, i dig those wheel designs. would i put em on my bike? no, unless i built some crazy detroit bros. looking "end of the world" chopper. that would be sick :D

well i guess it would depend what year gixxer, the first few years after the "srad's" had the same wheels as the busa.
