Hey...wondering if anybody here does upholstery work, or has any good suggestions for reworking the seat on my first-gen Z1000. It's a typical sportbike seat (I believe identical to the one on the 636s), and the vinyl cover is getting hard and will start cracking soon. Plus I'm a short ass and having it cut down a bit would mean I could actually flat foot it.

Corbin appears to be the only company that makes a whole new seat for this bike, but they have pretty poor reviews on other forums. I saw that Spencer's (great day to ride) was recommended a lot of places, but he specifically says that he does not re-cover seats and the stock cover must be in good condition and reuseable.

I found that HT Moto makes custom seat covers to DIY(only one I found that specifically lists the first gen Z), or accepts seats sent in to be recovered or reshaped. Anybody have experience with these guys?
