Was just trying to figure out what "slabby" meant, (seems to be a blanket term for older suzukis...)
and wondered if there is a thread that covers acronyms and terms commonly used on this site. I'm thinking there should be one that helps people new to riding and modification.

Hi Slabby or slabside is a uk term for the first gsxr750/1100's it comes from the big slabs of plastic on the rear end

Slingy or slingshot is the usual uk term for the later gsxr's but also refers to the "slingshot" carbs used on loads of suzuki's

On this theme i would guess i'm not the only brit here who finds some of the common usa terms either funny or slightly odd ?
