Well, the welding instructor offered to get some 1/8" aluminum pieces cut, so I can start on the custom fuel tank. I didn't ask- he offered.
Finally got some decent hand drawings finished. Now been waiting 3 weeks for him to get a "yes" or "no" from the machinist at his other job.
Trying to be patient and grateful. Hopefully, will hear some news tonight. If not, I'll probably start looking for a source for waterjet, or machine cutting.
