Welcome rock! bike looks sweet so far, that frame makes for some great fighters! Headlight looks familiar, got a couple guys on here with the same one (well Dudad sold his...) so you can get some ideas. (hint: set it up like sully's, it looks badass!)

What else do you have planned for it?

Lookin real good.

Think of some kind of cool way to cover the sides of the healight. Something like cutting out sheet aluminum or some kind of grill/mesh material (a la Sully).

More complicated would be a swingarm swap. That bike definitely needs it.

Powdercoating/painting/Rhino Lining your rearsets black would also look really sweet.

A GSX-R rear shock does wonders for those bikes. Dunno what swaps easy as far as forks go but it would look sick with a set of blacked out inverted forks.

btw it was a good choice on your part not to go on that group ride a few weeks ago after our Tuesday get together. Riding with that new guy was a bit nerve racking. He didn't like to stay staggered and was trying to pull wheelies right next to some us.

Sounds like a dick. We had a Ducati guy ride with us the other day who kept passing me on the inside of corners then slowing down so I could lead again.

He thought he was showing off his skill... of course a 1098 is faster around corners than a Busa, and of course you can go faster if you go into a blind corner in the wrong lane.

Gotta teach these people a lesson.

I have to do something about the tail, however I don't know what. I also plan on doing some small parts pc black, as well as the rims. Lines and hoses I may do deep red as well.

I'm also thinking about a shorty exhaust but am somewhat afraid to can my can...

do you have other plans for it. there are still plenty of things to do to that bike. Suspension upgrades to gsxr suspension are a huge benefit to those bikes. i like the sound of a swingarm swap as well. id also think about gettin that header painted.

You know, it drives me nuts.....I would not call myself a die hard street fighter kinda guy, but I think I have learned enough from this site to know....even when I started here, that just removing fairings and changing a headlight, aint making anything a street fighter. Its making it a bike with no fairings and a diff headlight. To me, a Sf'er has a soul, and you can't buy that outta any bolt on catalog.

I always refer to mine as a 'streetfighter PROJECT', that way it's at least headed in the right direction even if it's not quite there yet...
