I guess I'll be the first entry for the parts build-off contest.

I've had a set of Paolo Tarozzi rearsets on my Kz project for over 15 years and they look dated. Since swapping to a Brembo rear caliper I needed a matching bore rear M/C and didn't really find one that fits the stock Kz location so I'm trying to kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

I've been researching and looking for ideas on what style and design I want for quite some time. But now it's time to start on things.

I'll post more pics as I go...

Got some raw material in and grabbed a pic of the left Tarozzi rearset.

Took the main bracket from the Tarozzi setup and traced it, then took measurements and transferred them to CAD.

More to come.

Redesigned the right side bracket a little and then started machining.

At the point of the last pic it was 1:15AM, so I left off there.

Semi-finished the right side bracket. Redesigned the M/C bracket mount but a bit undecided about it. Can always machine it off and tap the bracket itself, I suppose.

Still have to finish the left bracket and finalize how I want to do the levers.

Finished machining of the left rearset bracket. Pretty close to the same profile considering I machined each one separately.

I’m considering maybe milling some grooves or some other trait to break up the “flatness” of the brackets.
