Subframe chop or build from scratch??

I'm debating which way to go. I am bobbing my bike (I know...nearly sacreligious) and am kinda torn between building and chopping. Building gives me a clean slate and factory parts to keep/sell. Chopping is faster and easier. For a bobbed bike I'm thinking building should be easy enough so... Suggestions are welcome.

Build every time. Chances are you will shave brackets and tabs anyway, so why not start fresh with clean tube.
Built makes it look cleaner with electrics in better placement.

Chopping it is lazy and LAZY is Not a streetfighter.
