the backside of my bike needs an upgrade. anybody have an '04 gixxer subframe (actually the whole back end, fairings, seat, etc)?? I could find the parts and put it together myself, but you all know what people charge for plastics alone.... any help would be appreciated

hehehe... if you need any help getting that to fit, let me know. you'll see what i was talking about as soon as you have the parts in your hand.

i may be able to find you some of those parts. probably the subframe, tailsection, and battery box/undertray. maybe the rear pegs/brackets. the seats and tail light would be the only things i may have a hard time finding at my local yard.

i have to run out there soon, i'll take a look for you when i go out there. i still get a healthy discount from that shop, so i'll get you my cost on any of the parts they may have.

i saw some of that stuff on ebay. i didnt see a subframe at my work....but maybe we have it somewhere i'll see what i can dig up.

went to the yard i used to work for, nothing there but older "SRAD" stuff. we have lots of miltary guys around here with the Tom Cruise complex, and they crash alot, so sportbike plastic and stuff doesn't last long.

found the subframe for like $110 plus shipping, and a fairing with some light scratches for $75. its all coming together but wtf is up with the passenger seat costing more than the front seat??? oh well, it'll all be worth it when I take the grinder to my frame:rock:

lol, passenger seats have a tendency to fly off, as do the solo cowls, when people don't get the on correctly, hence them costing more. they're just more in demand.

just buy a 900rr/929/954, lol, they don't come all the way off, they just flip up like a trunk lid no worries.

haha. i've seen a few 929s with fucked up trunk locks... the result being..riding down the road with your pass. seat sticking straight up.

lol, yeah, mine does that from time to time if i have my brain bucket (don't even ask why i carry that thing ) strapped on the back seat.
