Didn't have a name for her yet, so I named her from a generic term, often used in the game Godville.
As a matter of fact, my guild is named "Guild name" guild. It might be a little too internal of a name, but hey, not everything is supposed to be understood either ;)

I kinda like the name, so I might stick with it.

My bike is a 1992 Kawasaki zxr750

Brought her home a few days ago.
Here are some pix of her from the add.

She is a runner with aprox 23617 miles on her.

I will get some pix of her as she is currently sitting soon.

Plans so far:
- Strip fairings (of course)
- Bellypan
- Ram-air modification (instead of the hoover tubes)
- Color: Gun-metal
- Stripes: Kawa Lime Green
- Frame: Original
- Rims: Gun-metal (w/ kawa lime green stripes)
- New rubbers, (front'n'back)
- Shorty Exhaust, half the lenght atleast.
- Shorten seat fairing, or bobbed seat.
- Chrome Kawasaki & Ninja stickers
- RFID ignition
- Risers & Fatbars
- 2x small headlights.

^^Yes to everything except the bobbed seat! DON'T DO IT!!!

I will shorten the seat, not sure about the bobbed seat yet.
I'll explain further down in this post.

I have had the ZXR as my dreambike for 15 years,
and almost 15 years later i was looking for a bike,
with specific requirements.

The funny thing is that the ZXR was the only one meeting my requirements 100%.
My interrest in bikes has shiftet from R bikes,
to streetfighters these last 4-5 years.
Now I have the opporunity to fufill em both.

go solo on the seat! hack that thing up!
I will hack it up, 3 possible outcomes so far:
- shorten fairings
- shorter doubble seat
- bobbed single seat

That's a good lookin bike. Strip it and keep us updated!
I'll get some updates later today.
Gonna get some pix later of how she currently is sitting,
and get a status update on the technical.

I would read this thread, but the pics gave me this oldschool boner that I can't get rid of.
Fap it!

The reason that I'm not sure about the seat is becouse the bike sits a bit low.
I'll have to figure out how low the seat will be, without looking weird with the licenceplate hanging under the seat,
and not touching the rear hugger.
I like the hight of the bike as she sits, and i might even lower her further down.

Sorry about the mess, kinda tight spot for the bike at the moment.

Bob that bitch. she would look sweet bobbed with that hugger on the back tire. But you have to make sure it's done clean! DW

I'll take that into consideration :D
I really like bobbed seats.

Got some work done today. Stripped some of the fairings off.
Still need to rip off the plastics on the rear thou.

btw: the oilstain on the ground under the bike, does not belong to the bike. It came from the bug behind it, when it marked it's territory a while back.

Hate that stupid front mount for the headlights and gauges.
The throttle wires go through it, and I'll have to strip down the bike and loosen the wires before i can get it loose.
Or hack up the mount. Witch I don't want to, in case i want to keep some parts of it.

Also got some lamps today:

Small enough for my project.

Testfittet em just for a sec. They have to go waaay lower. Just stuck em in there to see how they would fit size wise.

Re: EGOtrip's "Bike Name" bike

Some more stuff arrived by mail today:

Green Shocker Sticker

Chrome Kawasaki Stickers

Chrome Ninja Stickers

Also i bought a set of Risers. I think they are a bit too high, and i believe the centre 12mm bolt in the centre is going to be a pita. After closer thoughts, it might not suit my top tripple either. I'll have to look into that issue.

Also bought some fatbars, flat black style bars

Testfitted the bars and risers.

The bike got some attention too. Stripping it down to get a full status.
Did some work on the seat. Like the look so far.

Slapped on the stock seat. Oh, that exhaust can just have to be hacked up in pieces.

One of my throttle wires are broken. It's the return wire, doesn't seem to affect the throttle though.
Looking into the wire issue when the risers, when the bars are mounted, to see if I need extended wires.

The Clutch line seems to be long enough, but the brake line from the line splitter up to the master cylinder have to be extended.

Slapped the bars and risers up on the tripple to see how it would fit.

A bit too high, but the width is perfect.
Also, I'll have to rise the back end up some.
Seems like there is some adjustment on the rear shock to rise it a few cm.
When the airbox goes off, I'll look into the hight issue.

Thinking of returning the risers, and exchange them with these.
Instead of drilling more holes in the ones I got, and chop em down

These though need some small modification to the bottom part.

Re: EGOtrip's "Bike Name" bike

I'm not a fan of bobbers, but that's just my opinion.

Looks like a good base to start from, though. I have a pile of parts off a 93 zx7 in my storage unit. If you need something, shoot me a pm. I may have it.
Thanks for the offer, I'll keep that in mind. :D
The bike is "complete" part wize as of now, the only parts I need that are original should be new. If i fuck up some parts or something, I'll shout out. :)

Striped her all the way down.

I don't know if you can notice, but I have rised the back end to the maximum of the shock adjustment.

The Exhaust can is next up, shorten it by 8 inches or so.
Then the risers and bar.
Relocate the expansion tank for the radiator, Have to find a nice bottle for the overflow.
And relocate the wires.

Re: EGOtrip's "Bike Name" bike

Some more work done today.
Last effort before I leave for a week.

Shorten the can with 8 inches.

Fitted to the bike. looks a lot nicer.

Also mounted the bars and riser. Need some more work on the risers.
Yeah, the original bars is still there. The top triple will come of when i have the time to rig up the bike.
I don't think it's too smart to rip off the top tripple before the front wheel is off the ground.

As she currently is sitting before I leave for vacation.

Next up is to try to find a longer brakeline. The one between the splitter and master cylinder. How about using a brakeline from another bike, that is long enough?
Anyone got any idea?

The one I got now is about 9.8 in, the one i need have to be aprox 13.8 in.
Any suggestions would be awesome.

Re: EGOtrip's "Bike Name" bike

Small update:

Got my hands on a second hand brakeline from a yamaha of some sorts.
Went by a local mc store, and asked if they had any brakelines like the one I had, but longer. They did mostly sell KTM, Honda and Aprillia.
Their Honda stock lines does not have the right ends, So no, not in stock.
But then he ran to the workshop an asked the mechanic for some tips on what to use.
When he came back, he had one matching my desired length in his hand.
They had modified a Yamaha for a driving school, so they had saved it. It was i good nick.

Well hey, It is used, so he would not take any money for it.
So i got it for free...

mad REP's to MC Lillehammer. :D
