print looks good. why not lay it 90* to that though? print it flat on the circles with the wider step on the bottom wouldn't need the supports.

was gonna put that in the 3d printer thread but didn't know how to post from here to there on my phone.

So main reason is looks, ASA is a nightmare to sand and clean up. Strength isn't a concern because once it's in the metal tube it won't split. So Purley looks. The prototype in PLA I printed face down no supports and it did a 45° bridge no issues

well with my current situation i think im going to have to pull out. i mean there is very little chance of me finishing this in time and i now have the prospect of moving etc and not sure when ill have a location to set up a workshop.

maybe when this comes around again i'll be in a better frame of mind for it
