I was trawling Ebay today looking for a cheapo TL to cannibalize and I came across this:

Whaaaaaa I exclaimed into my glass as I pondered the question...
Is this a chopper or a fighter???? Could it be mabbeee a fopper?

Whatever, I think this is a cool conversion and I have a few more angles I can post if anybody interested. In all honesty, I think this creation sorta blurrrrrs the edges of the distinction between the breeds and no way could you set the twisties alight on this tool except mebbe from the friction after it dumps you on y'ass in the first bend to try 'n take. But yet it's too crude to be a polished show-stopping chop.

Your thoughts plz....:knucks:

That's deffinatly the cleanest exaple I've seem. There have been a couple TL chops built in the last couple years. 1 of witch was built by a Japaneese firm. There are pics with Miguel Duhamal astride it. It was pretty cool, but still needed some clean up work.

I wanted to build one a few years back. I think it would just be cool for something to bang around town on.

For all the guys who showed a positive interest in this build, I went back to get some more info and it is still for sale with an undisclosed reserve, and currently has only attracted a bid range that is well below what the builder is probably looking for.

It appeared in a feature in the brit chop mag BSH (Back Street Hero's) back in 2005. Infact, there is a copy of the publication with the feature as part of the posting with more nice pics and a brief spec run-down... (wheels joe...Aakronts with talon hubs)... as part of the listing.

Be prepared to scroll up and around the page to get all the pics 'n info as it is on a higher res format than usual....

Whatever, it's an entertaining read:

I'd keep the Engine and the front end, minus the wheel. The pitch the rest. Hardtail, what a waste. It IS different, but useless and ugly.
Doesn't turn my crank, but to each their own, I guess :knucks:

Cycleword has a really slick TL1000 chopper in their mag. It was the issue with the Glory Stomper on it.

Summer months of 05 if I recall. Maybe Aug or Sept?

It was way sweeter than that thing.

I love it, only exception being the color of the rims.
